Description:
Neuron extending an axon with a small growth cone at the tip, in the shape of a heart. The neuron was extracted from Drosophila embryos and cultured for several hours. The neuron was fixed and stained with antibodies against the microtubule (green) and actin (red) cytoskeleton. The picture was taken with a florescence Olympus microscope.
