Description:
Primary hippocampal neuronal cells isolated from Day 17 mouse embryos. Primary cultures stained with the neuronal marker MAP2 (green), astrocyte marker GFAP (red), and nuclei marker DAPI (blue). Neurons transmit information through neural networks and are supported by astrocyte glial cells.
