At the Heart of the Body
Description:
The beating heart of a three day old zebrafish embryo. The vasculature is shown in cyan, and the heart muscle and blood cells in red. The transgenic embryo expresses the fluorescent proteins kdrl:eGFP, myl7:dsRed and GATA1:dsRed. 3D reconstruction of a synchronized z-stack of movies. Recorded with a custom-built light sheet microscope.
